SELLER TOOLS / ETSY
Etsy fee calculator & profit estimate.
Use the Etsy fee calculator to estimate US listing, transaction, Payments and attributed Offsite Ads fees, then subtract your costs to estimate profit.
BEHIND THE NUMBERS
Know what you keep.
Seller revenue includes the item price and buyer-paid shipping, plus gift wrapping. Marketplace-collected sales tax is excluded. Product costs, fulfilment costs and other expenses reduce profit separately from selling fees.
Seller revenue − selling fees − product cost − shipping cost − other costs
Profit margin is net profit divided by seller revenue. Zero revenue has no defined margin; losses are shown as negative profit.
Each fee has its own basis
Allocate listing and renewal charges at $0.20 each. Transaction fees use 6.5% of item, shipping and gift wrapping, excluding US sales tax. US-bank Etsy Payments uses 3% of the gross order including tax, plus $0.25 per order.
Offsite Ads is zero for a non-attributed sale. For attributed orders, use 15% below Etsy’s qualifying threshold or 12% after Etsy activates lifetime qualification; each attributed order is capped at $100. US sales tax is excluded. Qualification depends on prior rolling sales and monthly timing, not this order’s amount. Refunds, international orders, Pattern, Square, currency conversion, seller fee taxes and automatic credit determination are unsupported.
